Meet Steve

Steve began his decades long career in the whiskey trade as an apprentice to his father, a local distributor of blended Scotch whiskeys. As his father focused on distribution to the “common man”, Steve’s early tasting experience was largely around blended whiskeys stored in green bottles and decorated with sailing ships of yesteryear. As Steve’s career expanded in his early adulthood, he began to broaden the scope of the family distribution business into other international whiskeys, namely Canadian. As this was the decade of the 1980’s, the “common man’s” palette had morphed towards whiskey cocktails leaning hard on the Mist and Club whiskey expressions. As the years rolled on, Steve eventually took over full control of the family whiskey distribution business and further expanded the offerings to include Bourbons, Rye, and single malts from Scotland. Currently, Steve is extracting himself from direct control over the family business and handing the reigns over to his three children so that he can spend his remaining years educating and influencing-the ever growing whiskey community.
